So, I'm 1 week into my mal/river ficathon assignment, and I'm already nervous, because I've got so much further to go than I first thought. Without going into specifics, let's just say I'll be very pleased if I pull this out of the bag, considering the way in which I've chosen to write it.

But! I actually wrote out a plan to follow this time, with an actual semblance of a plot! Instead if aimless meandering in the hope I'll actually get to point B and one ginormous circle in which I never really leave point A.

I want to go see Kinky Boots, but it's about 30 C outside today, and I don't feel like walking in it. Maybe Monday--cause yay, public holiday!

In other news my dad's got all his accreditation and passes to go work at the Commonwealth Games next week. I wish I was going, but all the tickets got sold up for what I wanted to see (track cycling), plus no time off work. Oh well.
